The Service Trades College offers RPL opportunities to help technicians switch from the EAHL Experienced Persons Licence to the EAHL Qualified Person Licence

EAHL Qualified Persons Licence

The National Fire Industry Association is partnering with The Service Trades College Australia to provide recognised prior learning (RPL) pathways to fire protection technicians so they can gain mandatory industry qualifications and Extinguishing Agent Handling Licences (EAHL).

The Service Trades College is offering Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) for people who currently have an “Experienced Persons” Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence, to help them transition to a “Qualified Persons” EAHL Licence.

The Fire Protection Industry is committed to enforcing the transition to the new licence requirements and the Service Trades College has recently been advised that spot audits will be undertaken throughout the next 12 months.

It is essential to understand: Technicians who miss the expiry date cannot reapply for an experienced persons licence and cannot legally handle extinguishing agents.
