FAQs on Apprenticeships and Post Trade Training
How Do I Enrol?
To become an Apprentice, you need to have an employer. This employer would then liaise with the Australian Apprentiships Centre to complete your registration as an apprentice. The College will receive a commencement to train notification and will be consequently in touch with you and your employer to commence the enrolment process.
To become a Post Trade student, simply select a course you would like to attend, complete the online enrolment form available on our website, and attach the required documents.
Where do I get information about apprenticeships, accommodation and forms?
Simply visit the Apprenticeships Info page or contact us via telephone: 07 3255 5698
When do I pay for my studies?
All fees need to be paid before the start of study or at the time of the enrolment. Fees can be paid via phone, bank transfer and in person.
Do I need to attend the practical assessment for every post-trade course?
Yes. All post trade courses are offered in a flexible arrangement, which includes either distance studies (workbook) or online assessments, followed by a one day practical. Both assessments are included in the course fee covered at the time of the enrolment.
How do I know if the course is funded?
The funding is not connected to the calendar year, and with that in mind, the best option would be to contact the office and the staff will advise you accordingly. Otherwise, simply email your enquiry to info@tstca.com.au.
Will the College issue me with a licence?
No. Once you have completed your course, you will be issued with a Certificate, with which you would need to apply for the relevant licence through QBCC.
How do I know what I need to enrol into to get the licence I want?
Simply contact the QBCC office on 139 333 for a free advice and instructions.
